These are the mortgage lenders NYC condo sponsors name in their offering plans as their preferred lender for buyers. The sponsor has already set the building up with them, so a preferred lender usually knows the building, its budget and its sales before you apply, which can make a new construction loan easier to get. In many plans, the mortgage contingency is offered through these lenders.
